The health sector has tremendously improved. There has been recruitment of more health workers and doctors, support staff and the District Health Officer.

A dentist specialist officer was also recruited, which has made the dental clinic functional. Health centers IIs and IIIs are functional with
supply of medicines and drugs by the National Medical Stores.

The government has also distributed mosquito nets to prevent malaria for the household that appropriately sleep under the net.

Disease prevalence

Malaria disease prevalence has reduced as a result of the recently concluded nets distribution exercise from 35.7% to 22.5%

Maternal Child Health

Maternal death due to malaria has also reduced to 5% per 100.000 population.
